Liberalism, especially the Canadian variant of it, implicitly depends upon and encourages a degree of homogenization that flattens hard cultural differences. We need to become more pluralistic, and less liberal

Awaiting the elaboration, my narrow and specific interest is in preserving the Kirpan.

One third support it in spite of the non Sikh language the SCC has used like blunt & ceremonial

Frankly, I don't think a nation against carrying weapons deserves to or will survive; so all of this is of academic interest.

Thank you for the newsletter, you offer a sober & refreshing political perspective.

Brilliant piece of writing and I am also looking forward to the next instalment! If Erin O'Toole is listening, please have all of the candidates for the next federal election do a half-day workshop with Ben and others on this topic. We need candidates who can speak of Canada as it is and as it can be in days to come.
